Making sloping lands

Mothi Oct 23, 2003 12:27 AM

I want to make a tank with water and land area, but not using gravel. I want to be able to raise and lower the water on the land region without causing dead water, molds, etc. If I use a glass partition for land and water area, flooding the land area still causes a problem. Anyone tried to make a tank with land and water without a ton of gravel? I don't want my tank to be heavy so lighter the material, the better.

i have used plexiglass and made a series of partitions, each sucessively higher, and filled THE SPACES BETWEEN them with large stones (and yes, gravel) thisallows for a slope and full control over the water land boundary.

you can also use plexiglass or use real glass to build an island or a peninsula and fill with soil and moss and live plants if you wish.

if you use really thick glass this workls well.
