I took all these pictures today. Tommy's my first baby leo, so it's really exciting to watch him grow. Of course, it breaks my heart too, in a motherly way. Here's a close-up of what he looks like now:

and here's how he looked when I first got him just a few weeks ago:

He's starting to get more lavender/blue hues, which is what I really favor in leos. Any guesses as to how he'll look when he's an adult?

He's not one of my eggs, but I didn't buy him either. A breeder let me have him for free, because he sold me a sick leo the week before.

aww tommy is sooooo cute i bet he'll look really nice as an adult too

it looks like he's lovin those mealies that are trying 2 escape the petri dish i bet he catches em all before they even touch the paper towels huh! so adorable

Actually, I'm not breeding at all. Not intentionally, anyway. My lavender high-yellow, Lisa, was gravid when I purchased her. I'm expecting her babies to turn out lavender like she is.

This is an old picture of her. Her whole underside is a soft lavender, including her legs and feet.

Yeah, he usually picks off the ones trying to escape first.

He is a darling. I've been reading about people's baby leos screaming and biting them, and I'm just so glad Tommy's not like that.
