I cannot get the search function to work on this thing (hate my browser at times!)

Can you tell me the life span of veiled`s in captivity? (average!) I know that they are relatively short lived but i cannot get any solid information on this!

Thanks

P.S this is my male on his 1st Birthday!

Wow, high casque! I am not positive but I think for a male it is 5-6 years. I'm sure someone with more experience will either back this up or tell you the real answer! LOL!

That's about right, but most chams don't quite make this age due to health problems. Some of the larger species like melleri and parsoni have lived 15-20 years.

I have a female veiled that turned 7 recently, and aside from the disintigration of her rear left ankle, she is doing fine. Still full of piss and vinegar and is always putting up a fight about her meds.

I hope yours will live a long and happy life as well
