water.....

Just a quick question this time. Is it important to use filtered water for misting and in the water bowls?

Thanks!

IMO...No. I always have a five gallon bucket full of stale city water for my frogs and aquatic turtles. It's just convenient for me to dip a water dish in there for my snakes. Not that I think it's important to use stale water either, it's just what's at hand.

It comes down to this: do you trust your municipal water supply? Do you even know what's in it? Most people don't, and when they find out, they sure aren't pleased. Look into it for your own health, if for no other reason.

Filtered water also leaves less of a residue on the inside of the cages after frequent misting.

Just my two cents.
