This is my new Panther. I would like to get a female but I dont know what locale this panther is. Does it matter when trying to breed? And if so can anyone tell me what it looks like?
Thanks

I'm almost certain your new Panther is a Tamatave, one of the nicest ones I've seen. Local does matter. Breeding Panthers can be a difficult task anyway but when mixing locals (and let me say that I know people that have hybrid Panthers) it can get really tough. There's this certain type of mold that attacks hybrid eggs and it is really tough to get rid of, its more like a disgusting cheese rather than a mold. If you hit it at the right time Dr. Scholl's footpowder you can kill it. Get a female Tamatave and I don't think you will have a problem.
Looks tamatave to me as well. Hybrids can be very beautiful if you mix the right ones, although if you intend on selling them then make sure to say they are hybrids, and make sure you know what locales. I have seen a number of posts on various forums from irate buyers that bought 'ambanja' panthers only later to their disgust found out there were 'ambanja x diego suarez'.
So just a warning if you don't want your reputation to go down the toilet if you are a potential breeder.
Goodluck with the breeding, nice cham.

Hey whats up?
what do you mean by "found out there were 'ambanja x diego suarez'".
thanks.
It means that the cham was bought as a purebred ambanja, then found out later that one of the parents was a diego suarez. (that the panther was a cross, not purebred)
