Patternless Albino Confusion?!?

anson Oct 23, 2003 11:55 AM

I am confused as to how to tell a Patternless Albino from a Patternless I have seen photos of both but sometimes bright patternless leos look like the Patternless Albinos in the photos.
What is the difference between the two and how are the Patternless Albinos produced?

This is Rosswell my male Patternless he is about 4 years old.
The person I bought him from (C Newsom) said he is het for Rainwater Albino

For me the easiest difference to tell is the color of tail.

Patt. Albino's have pink tails

Patts. have purple tails.

Take Care,

Is there another wat to tell?
How about eye color?
Also how do you produce a patternless albino?

The Pa eyes are like a light gray with red lines running through them. and there tails seem very white to me.
If your patternless male is het for rainwater albino, then you could produce PA s 3 ways.
1. breed him to a rainwater albino het for paternless
2. breed him to a patternless het for rainwater albino
3 breed him to a PA female

All the offspring will not be PAs but you will get some.

If I breed him to her what are the odds of patternless albino babies?

I think it's 25%.

Well sit right down my wicked son
And let me tell you a story
About the boy who fell from glory
And how he was a wicked son

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way
Here I am with my hand

He took his sister from his head
And then painted her on the sheets
And then rolled her up in grass and trees
And they kissed 'till they were dead

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way
Here I am, with my hand

Well sit right down my evil son
And let me tell you a story
About the boy who fell from glory
And how he was a wicked son

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way
Here I am, with my hand

Heres a pic of an albino, patternless and patternless albino. All are sisters. All my patternless will darken from time to time but my patternless albinos are always bright. Its even hard to tell when my adult patternless albino female is about to shed.

That is a great looking Patternless Albino in your photo.
If I breed my Patternless(het for albino) male to my Albino (het for patternlesss)female what odds do I have to get Patternless Albino babies?
I heard 1 out of every 16 babies is that about right?
