3.2 leopard geckos (Rosie, Locke, Lisa, Caesar, Tommy)
and 3 eggs a' cookin'
I currently have 7 leopard geckos and one crested gecko, BUT heres the thing. I have more tanks than i know what to do with. At first i thought that 10 gallon tanks would be ok, but Boo outgrew his in a couple months, so i've got 4 unused ones right now. I bought instead, 2 15gallon tanks for Bronx and Nala, and split my 40 gallon tank in two for Dot and Abby. I already had 2 20gallon long tanks for Boo and Lily. Zoe was put into my 22 gallon tank. What i've noticed lately is that Boo seems cramped in his 20 gallon, so i'm going to switch him with Zoe.
I had planned on pairing up some of the females but that didn't work out due to size differences and that living alone is better for them.
Frankly if i could get my hands on 22-40 or even 50 gallon tanks for each of them i'd feel better. I love seeing them have more room to wander about. For now though Dot, Abby, Bronx and Nala are doing well in the tanks they have. But once they get bigger they will need more room, in my opinion anyways. Thats why i'm working towards getting 20 gallon tanks for everyone but Boo (he'll have the 22 gallon). That will leave me with alot of empty tanks but i figure if i ever do breed i'll have the room for the babies.
The unit i built holds 6 20 gal long tanks plus the 22 and 40 gal tanks. I'm totally NOT satisfied with the Room I HAVE though. I have enough stuff to fill a house, and i'm NOT kidding. But being that i don't have the money for a house, i'm all cramped and i'm hating it. So if the opportunity to move presented itself i'd be more than happy to strain my back moving all these tanks LOL. Oh i forgot.....i bought a large tall tank for my crested only to find that the smaller tank is better for his size.
I really want to start some breeding, i have possible hets and i'd like to see what i'll get, but i don't have the room and it has upset me!!! Hopefully something good will happen and i'll be on my way to wowing all those on the forum.
Oh, in my signature(?) at the bottom of my posts is the list of geckos i have plus my dog hehehe

First of all... I don't really think a papillon is a dog. It doesn't meet the 30 lb rule. It's more like a toy for a dog. :-p
Those tanks you have really provide a lot of room! I have my three adult leos (1.1 tremper albinos & 0.1 [almost super] hypo-tang) in a 35 gallon. I also have 3 double het (T-albino/patternless)hatchlings in steralite shoe boxes (one looks like it'll be hypo). I'm looking for a patternless male that is het albino to breed with them when they're ready.
I have a young crested in a 35 gal. hex tank. He seems to love all the space, but it takes FOREVER to find him. There's sphagnum moss in the bottom and he's the exact same color. I also have a male bearded dragon that's about 3 years old. I'm sure there'll be many more geckos soon. I'm a compulsive shopper when it comes to reptiles. I saw my tang during lunch hour at work. She was with 2 normals at a tiny PJs Pets at Young & Eglinton. I usually refuse to buy from pet stores, but the employees there knew nothing about reptiles and had them all priced for $75 each. I decided not to pass up the opportunity and I showed up in my office half an hour later with a leo in a little box.
On top of that I have a golden retriever and a couple tanks of fish (a red devil cichlid, an oscar, a green terror and a couple plecos)
For next years breeding season, I've decided to set up 6 small and 3 large steralite drawers. The large can house a breeding pair (more floor space then a 10 gal.) and the smalls will be good for 1 - 2 hatchlings each. If I run out of space there, I have lots of steralite shoe boxes. (And they're only $2 each anyways) Right now I'm using red bulbs to heat the two aquariums and a heat pad under the shoe boxes. I plan to replace all of that with Flex-Watt in a couple weeks. (It's really cheap to buy and run)

I know, a papillion is not really what most would call a dog. But he barks up a storm so he fits alittle. I love him despite the constant yapping, he's a funny little guy with alot of spunk.
I would love to put a few of my females into the 40 gallon tank and have it on its own stand to display really nice, but they are all different sizes and well Nala.....she's cranky and i'd hate to see her hurt little Dot. For now, once i get the other four 20 gal tanks, it will be empty.
You do have alot of animals. I would love to have a house full of them, plus a barn full of horses, mainly Morgans and Arabians. I used to ride and loved the ones that were a challenge. Whats funny is that despite my short stature (4'91/2"
i was always put on the largest horses hehehe.
I guess i'm a compulsive shopper, but what stops me is a lack of funds. Usually though i catch myself when i do have the money and don't buy anything. When it comes to animals i definetly don't just cause i don't want to get caught without the proper setups. I had tanks set up for months before i got my first leo.
My father is breeding guppies and i already have a few lined up for my tank. I just need to find a spot to put it LOL. I've been stressing over the space issue, or the lack of it hehe, especially when i think how much i'd like to breed these leos. Currently i don't have room for a rack so i'm out of luck.
Where do you plan on getting your heat tape from??? Online? i aks cause i've looked for it up here and haven't found anyone who carries it.
Thanks,
Red
