I bought a very young crested at NARBC because of the write up I saw in Reptiles. I thought it would make a great addition to my menagerie. After 10 days, I wasn't satisfied that he was eating yet, though he appears active and not wasting. I guess he(?) is eating so little that I couldn't notice it. Anyway, just to give myself peace of mind, I put some of the 2 fruits to 1 meat repcal mixture I've read about in here, put some on the end of a blunt toothpick and the little guy started licking it off right away. It was one of the most rewarding things that has ever happened to me in my years of herp keeping. If you had told me a year ago I would be feeding a hatchling reptile baby food from a toothpick, I would have laughed at you. It was really very sweet and cute. Forgive me for getting emotional and gushy here...just thought I would share.
