Handling Beardies Properly?

jwainhause Oct 23, 2003 01:37 PM

In general I have no problems taking my trio of 3 month old dragons out of their cage for various reasons including feeding time and some play time. They do however squirm sometimes and either I have to put out another hand to grab them or I have to be a bit firm to keep them from launching out of my hands. Is this normal or are my beardies not happy with the way I am handling them? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Mine like to have all 4's firmly planted.
Slide your hand under their belly from the front and let them sit firmly on your hand. You may have to secure their back w/the other hand because sometimes they back away.
