Obviously, the faster something's metabolism is, the quicker it will reach the finish line of its lifespan.
I know for most anoles, it's said 3-4 insects daily is good.
If you slowly ween them down to one or 2 less daily than you feed them now, you will eventually, and obviously slow down their metabolism, and therefore they will live longer lives.
I personally think that because they are not living in the wild, they don't really need as many calories as one would who is living in the wild. Imagine how many calories just one insect provides the anole. Considering all they do is sit around most of the day in captivity, just 2-3 insects (depending on your anole's size) should do them fine.
Granted they won't grow as fast, but I don't see nutrients or health being a problem.
