Can snakes pick up head/chest colds from me as easily as my friends and family? Does this mean I can't handle her while I'm still snifflin' and sneezin'? Would sprinkling vitamin powder on her rats help prevent her catching it?

Snakes can get colds. It's doubtful that the same pathogens that give you a cold would affect your snake, but it's possible I suppose that some of them might. Giving your snake human vitamins could be dangerous, some are toxic to reptiles. The main thing is to watch the temperature and don't let them get too cold. When a snake gets too cold, it can become immune depressed and get sick.
haha - I didn't mean human vitamins of course. I was referring to some of the various reptile vitamin powders. Lukcily I think my cold is passing, but you don't think it's likely that snakes pick up human germs that cause colds?
