Top tang albino males- PICS!!!

StarGecko Oct 23, 2003 04:31 PM

Most of you have probably seen pics of my gecko Vivid, thought I'd snap a few shots today of the other top males I am (for now) holding back to see which ultimately turns out best. Will any of these guys give Vivid a run for his money? Time will tell.

The orange is starting to come in on this guy's tail. He's younger than Vivid:

This guy is starting to go hypo:

This guy is also:

For those who haven't seen him, this is VIVID (flash went off, not the greatest pic as flash washes out color)

WOW, very nice Sarah ! Honestly I dont think any of them will give Vivid a run for his $$$ ! The only one would be the first one, and that is for the carrot-tail, not hypo ! They all look very, very, very nice though ! lol

Good Luck,
Nick

is that the hypo and carrotttail does not start developing at all until they are about 2 1/2 three months old. Vivid was one of my earliest hatches of the season, he's considerablyolder than all these guys, and he's changing by the week.

This is what Vivid looked like just two months ago (August 19th)

because I knew his mom was a superhypo tangerine CT and his dad was a hypotangerine albino CT, so I've thought he would turn out all orange or very close to it from the beginning, which is why I've been calling him hypo before he was even showing and people at first were scratching their heads going "huh"? However I am excited and pleased by the degree of carrot developing down his tail, and by the appearance of carrot pigments on his body.

The oldest gecko on top is about a month younger than Vivid, the other two are around two months younger. While the older one has great orange color and is getting good carrot color, he isn't showing the degree of hypo I would have expected by now. However I am very excited about the other two younger ones, orange is already breaking through all their bands, quite a bit for their age, and it is just starting.
