Hi everyone. This post isn't about anything vital or life-threatening; I'm just curious. I recently went back home for a few days and drove about 45 minutes to the nearest Petsmart in CT to see if their herp selection was any better than Petco's. While there, I picked up Fluker's Repta Rinse (Reptile Eye Rinse, with a RES pic on the label). My turtle's eyes seem fine at the moment, but not having a big pet store close I decided to buy the drops anyway, because you never know, especially with my weirdo Crumpet. Anyhow, I was just wondering, for future reference, how you would go about putting the eye drops in a RES eyes. They're notorious for being skittish about human handling, aren't they? Crumpet's pretty used to me by now (he'll eat from my fingers at dinner ) but I was thinking that, easy-going as he is, even he would have a problem with me trying to put a big bottle near his eyes. I think he'd probably just retreat back into his shell. For those of you guys who have used eye drops for your turts before, how have you gone about it? Like I said before, I'm just curious, but I'd love to know. Thanks,
~Amanda

They seem like a waste of money to me, I've had my guys for several years and they haven't had a need for eyedrops. If I did have an eye problem with my turtles, I would take them to the vet anyway, and get real medicine.

Okay. Well, it's a bit late for me to hear that they're a waste of money, as I've already bought them and won't be getting back to Waterbury any time soon, but thanks for the input anyway. I always seem to spend my money on the wrong things...ah well, that's life I guess.
