hello i was wondering what a good substrate for the red spotted toad, bufo punctatus, would be. they come from riparian areas in the sonaran desert. in one book they recomended a sand substrate. what do u think of that? currently i have them in a mixture of sterilized soil and orchid bark or maybe its fir bark. in the same book it says not to get the substrate wet. wich does make sense seein as how these toads come from the desert. anybody else keep these toads? any good setup ideas? any help at all is apreciated.
