Poop question

chikimonke Oct 23, 2003 06:35 PM

My leo's poop is sometimes straight, and other times "S" shaped. Anything to be concerned about, or is this just his poop looking different? Everything else seems normal with it though.

Also, Jak hasn't eaten the past couple of days. Two days ago he ate about 10 or so mealies, yesterday he wouldn't give one a second look. Today he ate one, and then ignored the rest. Is Jak fasting? Might there be something wrong with him? Also, he used to get crickets as well as mealies, but i've decided against crickets for now because of previous posts. Might he be holding out for crickets, or something different? the all mealies diet has only been in affect for about a week now. And yes all of my temps and things of that sort are good, i also have a UTH. Thanks for your help.

as long as the poop is solid and formed, the intricacies of the shape are not particulalry relevant to his health. If the the poop is getting longer beacuse it its thinner and runnier, then that is significant and deserves a fecal to look for bugs.

I wouldn't worry about eating fluctuations that occur over the course of only a couple days. If you notice runny stool, or weight loss, them you have a problem.
