Help!!!!! (eggs)

RyanD Oct 23, 2003 07:02 PM

I just bought two house geckos. I swear they are either a different species or sex. One has flaps of skin on its sides, tail and feet, giving it a flat apperence. The other has no flaps and it more rounded. This one has a round tail with tiny spikes on it. Are they diff species?

Also one layed an egg. What do I do? I think it was the spiny tailed one- the other is hardly ever out of his hiding place.
Help???

Thanks

Very likely you have got Cosymbotus platyurus (flat tail) and Hemidactylus frenatus or Hemidactylus turcicus (Spiny tail).
The egg may still be fertile-due to AMphigonia retardata.
So its worth incubating it.
