Hey, Chris Allen....and anybody else that's curious. ( Long)

Just re-measured our dragons.
Since last saturday, Cleo has gone from 16 1/2 inches and 244 grams to 17 inches even, and 258 grams. Cleo is estimated to be between 5 1/2 and 6 months old. Gender is still questionable, believe it or not, but we strongly suspect that Cleo is male.

Grumpy has gone from 15 3/8 inches to 16 inches even, and 238 grams to 252 in this same length of time ( 5 days ). Grumpy is estimated to be between 5 and 5 1/2 months old, and is undeniably male.

Matilda is brumating, and hasn't come out of her hide box for the last 3 days, so we didn't disturb her for measurements.
She's been doing this for 3 or 4 weeks now, only coming out to eat, drink, and potty every 2-4 days.
At last measure, she was still 15 1/4 inches, and her weight seems to hover around 275-285 grams. her gender isn't of question, since she laid an infertile clutch of 23 eggs right before we got her.

One of the reasons that Cleo's gender is questionable to us is the fact that appearance-wise, his/her vent area looks enough like BOTH of other two dragons, having similarities that could go either way, in the end. ( Two small ridges that could be hemipenes, but also a third bulge or hump that makes the whole area rather flat... ) So we're figuring either a very undeveloped male, or a female...

Also, one last question for anybody that knows... The caterpillar-like worms that show up in crickets...( I belive somebody said they were dermisted worms, or something of the like, on another post ) Are they safe for B.D.s to eat? I can't find the post I saw this info in... I seem to remember that they are, but I want to be sure.

Sorry for writing such a book here. lol

You got a few from Chris? Got any pics of them? All the dragons I bought from him have just been fast growers, and end up huge and colorfull. I got a red X red from him this season and she is already 16inches 276grams at under 6 months old. Foster my big male from his redFlame x red sandfire line is just huge. He's brumating now so he lost a few grams but he's a 23 inch dragon and was 766 grams before brumation. I bought 3 from Chris and all are huge, or in myah's case still have a while for more growth. Foster, Candy, and Myah are all unrelated dragons from Chris. Candy too is 21 inches and 546 grams which is large for a female. Good luck with yours. They sound like their nice and big too.

I was picking up with a bit of a conversation that got started on a thread lower down, concerning the maximum size B.D.s get to be, and the size 2 of mine are at the moment.
Here's the post: forums.kingsnake.com/view.php?id=219172,219218

Sorry for the confusion.
