Need help/advice on building snake racks/cages

addictedtoherps Oct 23, 2003 07:43 PM

Looking to make my collection more "compact." I need to build some racks/wooden cages. I'd appreciate any advice and or websites that may be available as to what type of wood to use, what not to do, etc.

scroll down the forum and look at the responses to the other recent postings of this question. There are some great ideas and links posted there already.

Take a look at this link. Dwight has some good stuff here and this is where I modeled my rack after.

I went and bought the plastic containers before I started so I knew how big the spaces had to be in the rack.

I built one that will hold 12 32 quart sterilite boxes.

I ordered the flex watt heat tape and connnectors from bean farms.

Good luck.
