quick question about carpets

perchingpets Oct 23, 2003 08:38 PM

hi im new to this forum but i own a couple different types of snakes.i just got a baby carpet a few days ago and as i was feeding it tonight i noticed that on the inside of its mouth it was a grayish black.it is about 2 months old and looks to be pretty healthy.it had no problems with taking prekilled.i was wondering if the color of its mouth is normal as this is the first carpet that i have had. thanks for any information.

Carpets have a naturally blue black throat.

I'm just messing with you. Carpets also have blue tongues--another reason they're just so awesome!
