My local health food store has it in their little cooler by the vitamins (along with Probiotics, etc). It's kind of expensive for how much you get (maybe $5 for a packet), but I don't use it all the time, either. It's well worth it - Arthur loves it.

Arthur loves it. It's how I convinced her to eat when I first got her. She couldn't resist it. Now I just use it as a treat so she doesn't get spoiled. That way if she goes on another hunger strike, I can use it again.

I get fresh bee pollen granules from a local bee keeper. I pay $4.00 for a jar (about a pint) There are many bee keepers that sell honey so maybe check your yellow pages or do a google search for bee keeper organizations and try to find a keeper in your area that way? You can also buy in health food stores but this has been processed somewhat and is most likely not fresh. I know my uros very much prefer the fresh granules over the health food store powder in the filled pill capsules .... maybe the smell/taste is more pungent in the fresh granules?

My health food place has fresh granules (which I use) as well as the powder stuff. I didn't think of going straight to the bee keeper - too obvious, I suppose. There's a place nearby where you can get local honey (which I use to dull my hay fever), and I bet I could get bee pollen there, too!

Don't waste your money on the granules at a health food store. Why not pick up a product that contains bee pollen, such as the Sandfire superfoods Uromastyx formula distributed by t-rex. It is actually a complete food in powder form. You just sprinkle it on your veggies to give them a power boost. It contains Macro nutrients such as protien, carbs and fats, adn micro nutrients such as vitamins and minerals. It also contains bee pollen, spirulina, probiotics, ...etc. hope this helped.

I got mine at a vitamin store, and the rather large canister (10oz.) was $15 but has lasted a really long time. I mix it in with my dry food mix. I think GNC carried it when I was looking.
