I am thinking about getting a baby beard and i was wondering what size tank i should get for a baby? Also, for the lighting, should i use a basking bulb for 12-14 hours and then leave it off for the rest of the time if its hot enough? Just need a little insight, if you have some advice i'd appreciate it.

You will need a basking light, which can be a household bulb in a dome fixture and a UVB flourescent light.
Or, you can get a Mercury Vapor Bulb, which is all in one.
You can start out with a small tank, but will need a 55 gallon minimum as an adult.
There are lots of care sheets on the web for more info.

best thing to do is what i did when i was thinking of getting my beardie. i bought a book that answered so many of my questions.

you'll need a basking light(basking temp should be about 105F)and a UV light that should be on for 12-14 hours like you mentioned.

a baby is ok in a 10 gal tank for a very little time. i quickly went to a 65 gallon after my beardie was about 2 months old. i separated it into 2 sections at first and just recently opened it all up.
