Is this kind of behaviour normal?

mech220 Oct 23, 2003 10:56 PM

My lizard, Animal, shed about a week ago. Before this he was eating anything I put in the cage. Now, after the shedding, he will only eat one or two superworms and not one cricket. He is still very active and does not seem to have anything wrong with him. I am just concerned about his appetite.

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Its the time of year when they slow down alittle anyway with eating. Some are , or will be brumating for a few months.
And he is still eating supers, not like he has not been eating at all.
Sometimes, they just act disinterested. If hes fine other wise, weight, and active, I would not be concerned.

Mine always stop eating when they shed and act a tad strange for a few days, even right after. (Imagine if your skin was coming off all at one time, GEESH, hahahhha! ) Just do what your doing, always keep an eye on them and their behaviors, thats the way we are all learning from observing, LOL So your doing a good job, *SMILE* Eve
