DJW Oct 24, 2003 10:44 AM

My newest edition, hatched in June -albino king

I can't find the shedded skin! Except for a small piece, is there any chance?
His last shed was in two pieces, but all I’ve found of this one
Looks like a small piece of the head?

Any advice?
Thanks
Dallas

I had a group of hatchling Brooksi a few years ago and knew when they were shedding. One of them went blue, cleared up, then obviously shed but no slough was ever found (yes, I checked under the water bowl)except for a tiny scrap. A week later the snake passed the remains of a shed which still had most scales visible in the stool. As a rule, no, they won't eat their sheds but some being agressive snake eaters may confuse the shed with prey.
Should see this with young cobras also. Jeff
