What is an acceptable substrate for a greeen anole? I dont want to use paper towels or fake carpeting or anything like that so what are some other possibilities?

What is an acceptable substrate for a greeen anole? I dont want to use paper towels or fake carpeting or anything like that so what are some other possibilities?
Moist Bed-A-Beast or similar substrate (ground coconut husk), packed down. You can mix it with a fine sand or ground peat/sphagnum substrate... you *could* use dirt, but it's not a good idea. It would have to be new and not have any pesticides, fertilizers, synthetic additives, etc. Bed-A-Beast is probably your best bet when using a naturalistic set-up. Do pack it down, though, to prevent them from swallowing any, even though it is supposed to be passed easier than other substrates if swallowed.
You could also use a smooth, large gravel (not fish-tank-type), but I don't think it'd be appropriate, although it's not like they'll be on it or anything.
