Getting a new snake, what kind?

cito Oct 24, 2003 04:20 PM

I've decided to let go my wild snakes, and purchase a new captive snake(if i can talk him into it) So far i've had 3 balls, and two boa constrictors. I'm looking for a snake that gets to be about the size of a boa constrictor ( 10-15 feet) Do you have any suggetions on what kind of snake to get, where to get it, how much they cost, wheather or not they are common in pet stores, and their cage setup? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. -if your going to say go to a reptile show, its out of the question

If you are lookinn for something that big, and can handle a little defensivness, I would look into scrubs. Other than that your looking at male retics & burms or yellow condas if you want that length.
