This should be a neat experience. I'm going to make the 4 hour drive to Doug's house and breeding facilities tomorrow. He's taking back my two sick uros and possibly Trevor's too. I'll let everyone know how it goes. Wish me luck!

The 5 hour trip to Arlington, WA (Deer Fern Farms) was a long one - but well worth it! Doug was very accomodating and spent several hours with my husband and I.
His house and Uro barn is beautiful. I haven't seen that many uro's in one place before! He has this huge steel building that is his uro barn. It's full of Vision cages and custom built cages. And there's not one cage in there that was empty. He's also got a huge area fenced off with about a dozen deer that he has raised. I was in heaven! What can I say! It was amazing. If any of you are even in the Seattle area, his house is a must visit!
I ended up keeping Houdini (male Saharan). Doug said he looked good for not eating much in two weeks. But he must be eating something because Doug said he could feel substance in his belly. Maya, the female Saharan, had to stay with him. But Doug gave us another female in exchange. Doug was worried about her eyes and lungs. He said her eyes looked swollen and wanted to keep her for observation. It probably wasn't pneumonia after all, but something made her gasp for breath and make a gargling noise. I hope he gets her heathly.
