A venomous snake with personality, any suggestions??

peterfromme Oct 24, 2003 05:36 PM

Hi,

I've owned a copperhead now for several months and I think they are incredible! They just have a much more inquisitive nature to them then boas and pythons, which I've owned for years. What are some other venomous species that have a more inquisitive nature to them?

I guess this question is more geared towards an experience hot handler who has dealt with several venomous species.

Please let me know what you think...

Thanks,

Peter F.

The ones I've noticed in particular are our cottonmouths, mambas, and costal taipan. Also, certain individuals of a number of other species...mostly the ones that always seem to be hungry.

My friend Jared had a couple Cape Cobras with all the personality in the world. It was, however, a very nasty personality, and I was glad the plexiglass cage fronts were quite strong and that there were no gaps.

Fiesty little things, those two.
