Orange thayeri

RandyWhittington Oct 24, 2003 09:36 PM

This guy and his two girlfriends will finally be breeding size this coming year. I'm hoping for a couple of healthy clutches.
This following question has nothing to do with the male pictured and his mates . What are some of you guys larger first clutch sizes with this species. I was just wondering of others experience because last year I had a female from another bloodline to lay 19 eggs. They were bad but it was her first year laying and I had not experienced or heard of anyone having that large of a clutch first go around even if the eggs were bad. Later, Randy Whittington

It's hard to beleive now but she was almost as orange as he was as a hatchling. Randy W.

I have a male thayeri that looks EXACTLY like him even down to the little "dog face smudge" on top of his head. This photo was taken a year ago or so, so he has "oranged up" as well. Let me guess, does your variable have a checkered belly? How old is yours? Where did you get it?

Oh, by the way, sorry I didn't answer your question.

I don't know.
