Sobek Update (Please Read)

XxJackalxX Oct 24, 2003 10:42 PM

OK some of you posted a respone to my concern last nigth. Just to recap, Sobek has lost a lot of color from his skin and has been staying in his humid hide a lot. Well after you guys told me he was probobly about to shed, I put him back in his tank and left him be. But heres the wierd part, when I went back to check on him a few hours later, I pick him up from his hide and his colors were back, just as bold and vibrant as before. But there was no sign of shedding or anything. I know that he wasn't just dirty or anything because I tried to wash him off when I first discovered it and even with water and rubbing it hadn't come off. Any Idea on what that was all about?

If a gecko has a humid hide and uses it, shed can be pretty quick and easy. Your gecko shed, and ate the shed. It is normal for geckos to eat their shed.
