A bunch of them suddenly decided to move into Igor's cage. How can I get rid of them without endangering Igor?

If you use the sticky trap make sure there is no possible way the dragons could get into it. I have experienced removing leopard geckos from one of those and it was extremely tedious and I'm sure it was painful and stressful for her.

If you go this route maybe you can put it in a mesh box or bag that the fruit flies can get into but not the dragons.

I know the little buggers are a real pain but are relatively harmless, feed on dead and dying plant matter, and most methods of termination would be more dangerous than the bugs themselves.

I was going to put the box shaped sticy trap over the screened lid, near the lights. the flies fly out of the tank (just to tourment ME!!!) and would be atracted to the smell in there, and get stuck (I hope)
the ones in the babies tank RUSH out when I open the lid, (attracted by the fresh air I guess)
There is LOTS of plant matter in Erownes tank, but not much with the babies (all of whome seem to be doig GREAT!)

Well, you can't poison them as there is a chance that the dragons will eat them. I am not sure how else to get rid of them but can tell you how to keep more from getting in. If your enclosure has 4 legs you can set each in a shallow pan of water, you can put a band of the sticky stuff you paint on trees to get rid of them around each leg, or you can try out the ant chalk that Mulberry Farms sells. I have some but the ants disappeared before I got a chance to use it! Go figure.

You may be able to attract them to a shallow dish of sugar water and perhaps they will fall in and drown but I am not really sure if this would work or not. I am guessing that if you prevent more from moving in the ones in there would die or get eaten. Do be cautious though as I am sure the ants could inflict a painful bite.
