need a list of bugs that are bad to feed to Beardies

beardiedragon Oct 25, 2003 03:51 PM

for those that keep their Beardies outdoors, what bugs do you have to worry about your Beardie getting a hold of by accident?

fireflies and other glowing bugs are bad for beardies?
Dung beatles?
ladybugs?
hornets, wasps, other stinging stuff?
fire ants?
wild roaches?

Fireflys/lightning bugs ( It's not the chemical that makes them glow that's toxic ), Boxelder beetles, and spiders that are harmful to humans ( Black widows, Brown recluse, etc. )are the only ones I know of for sure.
I also can't imagine bees or wasps being much good for BDs either.

How about termites? I noticed that a few flew into the bin and were on his log... Or maybe they are flying ants? they are small with red heads and black wings...
