After wanting a Cane Toad for as long as I can remember, I've finally decided to start reaserching their needs and requirements, before obtaining some.
I would greatly appreciate it if anyone with experience of these wonderful creatures can answer a few Q's for me and point me in the right direction.
I have seen a fair size pair in my local exotic store, they are in a rather small plastic container, buried in some kind of leaf litter/mulch with a shallow water dish.
I'm guessing that probably isn't ideal, but what would be the ideal set-up?
Is a glass tank the best indoor home?
How much space would be ideal for an adult pair?
Are they ok if kept in pairs or a small group?
What type/types of substrate are best?
How much water do they need to be content?
What is the best diet for them?
What source of heating is best for keeping toads?
I have found conflicting answers to most of the above Q's, so I look forward to your expert advice.
