set up my rain maker and cgae for today our new sambava

compasscreek Oct 25, 2003 06:28 PM

finally got around to setting up the rain maker i recieced earlier this week. i have it hooked up to 4 of the cages and left the mr moisture to hooked up to my nosey be cross's cage, i didn't have enough hose and my wife won't let me run a longer hose though and above the cieling to his cage. just getting the rainmaker set up and adjusted has taken 5 or 6 hours. adjusting the nozzles took the longest and i has a little leak in the resevior but i just need to tighten it a bit(i don't have my tools here!) also i set up our new female sambava's cage. she is from kammerflage kreations and will be here wednesday morning.

So what do you think about the 2 different misters? I still haven't got one yet (I think I ran out of money on those last few chameleons) but I still am looking and open to suggestions.

the rainmakers pump is a bit quieter then the mr. moisture the nozzles are the same. i think though that the rainmaker all components that would need pipe tape are already done. it comes with hose clamps instead of zip ties.

it is not hard at all, just takes a bit of time if you have more then one cage. the reason is beaci=sue after the first cage you have a "T" style fitting for your nozzle and once you get the hose cut and secure on one side of the "T" you go to the other and do the samebut have to twist it around before you secure the hose to the fitting(using a hose clamp)otherwise the nozzle is tilted a bit.

Does it come with directions or diagrams on how to run it to several cages?

not really it has some basic instruction but nothing detailed, not even any pictures(i was kind of surprised) but it is really easy to connect mutiple cages just put your nozzle where you want it and cut a piece of hose that goes from nozzle location to nozzle location. it just takes time. thats all.
