RES eating the DR. Turtle

leighann Oct 25, 2003 06:29 PM

Hi, I got a new RES about a week ago. Since I got him I have never seen him eat the fish, or Reptomin. But, I have seen him eat the dr turtle that I have at the bottom of the tank. My question is... will it hurt him? I really need to know, so that I can do something about it. Thanks!

Mine is eating his Dr. Turtle (I think it's the Tetra kind, but I think they're the same thing) too, and I'm also curous about this. He does it, Reptomin, crickets, sometimes Romaine lettuce (he's still a baby and I don't think he likes it much) and sometimes blueberries, apples, and carrots (again, sometimes he eats these and sometimes he doesn't). He gets vitamins, too, but I don't understand why he eats the Dr. Turtle. I thought he ate the first one out of boredom, so I got him osme cuttlebone and put the new one in. He's eaten a little bit of the cuttlebone, but he still loves that damn Dr. Turtle. Does anyone have any advice for us? Thanks
