Update on Pogo.......

Well it's been exactly one month and two days since I brought little pogo home...I've been extremely stressed out because of his (in my opinion) lack of appetite. Sometimes I think maybe he just doesn't have a big appetite because his parents weren't some of the huge 500 gram beasts I've seen here..I'm sure that's possible..I also know he was the runt of the clutch. I was always a little guy growing up and still am so seeing him overlooked because he was a 1/2 shorter than his brothers and sisters made me want him more...So I've bought worm guard, and Acidophiliz to weed out worms and stimulate his apptetite and it has a little bit! I bought a 100W Flood Powersun and he loves it!..I feed him pellets, crix, greens, and veggies daily...Everything is taken care of! I firmly believe at this point he isn't going to be a huge monster....I was happy to see that when I measured him today he's grown a full 1" in the month I've had him!!!! How does this compare to dragons growth charts? I think I am just too worried about him when in fact he's probably fine...I did have a vet appointment scheduled for today but my car went down Wednesday with a bad water pump so I had to cancel...So I am rescheduling...So I won't be a 100% sure I know he's fine, but I think what you guys have taught me and giving him a good home he's going to be just fine!!!!

An inch in a month is pretty good growth. How long was he before he grew the inch? If he was tiny, that inch is a lot bigger percentage of growth than it would be on a larger baby, too. Keep up the good work.

i think every dragon grows at a different rate, husbandry being the same (which of course it never is). some grow like weeds from day one, some take awhile. obviously the better the husbandry the more a dragon is going to be able to max out whatever growth pattern its genetically programmed to take.
