Food item size.

I have recently been made aware of a different feeding method than the one that I am familiar with and use for my own BP's. The two methods are as follows:
1. Feeding an adult BP a large food item, say 200g every 7-10 days.
2. Feeding an adult BP a smaller food item, say 100g every couple of days.
I, until recently, used the first. Does anyone have any opinions on the two, or personal experiences or comparisons between them?

I personally give my adults a smaller food item, in the 110-120 gram range, every 4-5 days.
I like this method, and have had no problems.

Although, for a few shy animals that I have, which prefer less interaction with me,(I can't imagine why) I do use a large meal less often. Again note this is not my preferred method, but it does seem to keep these animals eating more regularly.

This is one I plan experimenting with next season. For humans, it is recommended that you have more smaller meals than few large meals. I imagine the animal on option number two will grow faster.
