first off he is going to get around 4 feet in lenght.he is going to needa bigger home 33 gal is small .a hide box would not hurt,a nice size water bowl .he is not a cat so try not to feed it to him.give him gut loads of crix and mealworms you can try fruitmine loves grapes .you can look on bluetegu.com they have a caresheet .and if i missed something or iam wrong their are nice people on this forum that will help you. they helped me a couple of times.have fun with your new tegu their great pets.

WHY THE HECK DID YOU BUY IT? it drives me nuts when people walk into a pet store and buy an animal because it looks cool. come on! if you were going to buy a dog, wouldnt you do some research? jebus!

I hear you Ghost...Learn first then buy. I made the same mistake awhile back when I thought I wanted to take care of chameleons. Now I know they are not for me. All I can say to the new Tegu owner is start at the top of the forum and then read all the topics to the last one. You should know what to do by the time you reach the last topic. While I'm all for someone coming here for help and asking questions I think everyone should do their own research.

I forgot to add that I think you need to get him a bigger cage. I dont know how fast blues grow how long is he? 18 inches? 24inches? 30? My hatchling Arg. B&W is just over 3 mos. and he's over 26inches long and that was a rough measurement. This guy has already been through 3 cages.

You're right you need help! What the h*ll were you thinking? And if you thought for one second someone wasn't going to jump you for being a complete idiot - well, you were mistaken.
People - DO YOUR FREAKIN' RESEARCH FIRST!!! There is not a worse sign for the well being of an animal than when it's owner posts something like that...

Go to Google - type in "Tegu care sheet".
