Stumped

Fldan Oct 26, 2003 01:49 PM

I'm constructing new cages for my BRB's. I plan to humidify them with Tropic-Aires. For them to be effective I need almost an air-tight set-up. That pretty much eliminates the temp gradient. How do I construct an enclosure that can handle both requirements??
Thanks for any input.

Hey Jeff,
Yup, life IS good.
A Tropic-Air is something I found our about on this forum only a month or so ago. A humidifier for about $20 pumped by your average aquarium device & available at any Petco or wherever. I'm surprised you don't recall the thread. Anyway, it's all hooked up along with thermostat/dragonlair. Again, the problem arises when you try to maximise humidity while allowing complete temp gradient. It seems one wipes out the other. Awareness of the brand name seems of little consequence when you think about it. It's the logistics I'm concerned with. Seal it up tight & you've got humidity but lose temp controls. Ventilate & lose your humidity.
Sorry this question wasn't worded specifically enough. Hope this clears it up.

Dan.
