Daylight savings and feeding and lighting schedule

chikimonke Oct 26, 2003 02:59 PM

Ok, so last night we set the clocks back. So should i move my feeding time back one hour, or get him used to the new time? Also, what should i do about my lighting schedule? It used to be from 8-10, with out touching anything it will now be 7-9. Should i make it 8-10 again, also, being the winter, should i be shortening up the daylight anyways? Thanks for the help.

Hi

If it were me I would just keep him at the schedule that he is used to for things, just because us humans like screwing around with the time for ourselves, doesn't mean animals have to.

I doubt they'll care about an hour either way. Consider that in the wild, they're getting meals whenever and wherever they can. I assume you're feeding crickets, so you'll probably be fine putting them anytime the gecko(s) are awake in the evenings. If you're feeding mealworms, just keep em in there all the time.
