Ball Snippy

khorne99 Oct 26, 2003 03:07 PM

I got my first ball python today and i really really like him. Hes beautiful to watch explore his cage. One thing though, he is really really snippy. I picked up poop he laid on one side of his cage, and he snapped at me from the other side. Will he grow out of this? Are there any tips on getting him to stop snapping? Hes great but, he'd be even better if he'd stop snapping.
Thanks

I'VE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY NORMAL MALE BALL,EVEN GOT TAGGED A COUPLE OF TIMES. MINE GREW OUT OF IT AND I DIDN'T HANDLE HIM EXCEPT WHEN I CLEANED HIS CAGE,AND THE FEW TIMES I GOT THE GUTS TO GET BIT. NOW THE ONLY TIME I HAVE THE PROBLEM IS WHEN I FIRST GET HIM OUT THEN EVERYTHING IS IS COOL. SO JUST BARE WITH HIM,IT'S THE SMALL SNAKE COMPLEX. "ACT REAL NASTY AND I'LL BE LEFT ALONG!"
