one of my squirrel treefrogs finally died

treefrogger Oct 26, 2003 03:47 PM

he was full grown when I caught him 2 summers ago so I think he died of old age. the female is doing fine by herself and I caught a squirrel treefrog tad this summer that turned into a little froglet. I have it in a little critter cage until it is old enough to put it in it's permanent home. I kinda miss the way the male would call in the middle of the night. oh well

I keep Squirrel treefrogs, too, and I know what a joy they are. I'm sorry yours died, and I'm pretty sure it's of old age, too. At least it lived a happy life up until this point.

Where do you live? I'm in Florida and find them sometimes, but I rarely hear about other people in other states keeping them.

I live in houston texas. nobody had squirrel treefrogs when I was a regular here. I guess things have changed since last summer.
