and one more thing, the two sacs that secrete toxins or whatever are the same size as the eyes. Not sure if that matters or anything, at first I couldnt even see them since they were smaller than other toads i've kept before (american, bouncing)
Hey Kyle. Can I get a better pic? Do you have any idea if the toad came from the U.S.? If it did, judjing by the size of it's parotoid glands you describe, it may be a Gulf coast toad (Bufo valliceps). Gulf Coasts have smallish parotoids and prominant cranial crests that go from the parotoid, around the eye, to the tip of it's nose. Females get over 5" long. There are over 100 species of Bufo around the world, and 18 species of Bufo in the U.S alone. There are many identifying charactaristics for each one, some are very subtle. Color and pattern varies greatly in toads of the same species, even the same geographical area, so you can't use that to I.D a toad.

How to get your wife to like toads; 1.Get a male toad. 2.Get him to hug your wifes wrist (amplexus). 3. Tickle him so he chirps in protest. 4.Say "Awww, he likes you". Note; Make sure he pees first or you may receive bodily harm during this procedure.
these are the best I can do, thanks, and I have no idea where this one came from. It was in this local petshop i always go to get crickets and it was in a 10 gallon tank just sitting there with another smaller lighter green colored toad. I knew i couldnt miss out on a toad of this size and for only 9 dollars.

Hey Kyle. In that new pic it looks like a southern toad (Bufo terrestris). Does it have cranial crests (raised lines on his eyes/nose)? If it does, it is most likely a southern. They range from Va. all the way around south to Louisiana. Pretty common in Fla. They get about 4 1/2" long when full grown. Do a search on the net for these and see if you can find a pic that looks like your critter.
