HEHEHEHEHE, i'm such a fan of that movie. Sleeping beauty was on last night and through the commericals they had *extras* one of which was the two moose from the new movie Brother Bear, complaining about how theres never been a Disney movie about Moose. It got me thinking........i'd LOVE to see a movie (cartoon) all about the life of a gecko LOL I think i'll draw up a story board and send it to them hehehehe, its about time reptiles were portrayed as the cuties they are, don't ya think?!? hehe

Exactly! I couldn't agree more! Even though the snake was funny in Robin Hood it was still an evil character. Maybe a cartoon will help people realize that reptiles aren't the devil creatures they've been made out to be!

I've made up my mind to start my artwork again. I might not have any space, nor money to buy all the stuff i want but i can sit down with one of my art pads, get out some pencils and draw! The way things are set up i can sit on my bed and watch my geckos, so its a great spot to get the basics for a cute cartoon gecko!

I always wanted to work for Disney, more recently Pixar cause i love the animation. It would be soooooooooo cool to see my name in the credits for a movie all about lizards

For real?? You sound just like me! I love designing characters and i have been drawing since i could pick up a pencil. I'm in my third year of college majoring in art ed, but im thinking about changing it to just studio art and seeing about joining disney's intern program they have. I have been seriously looking into it lately. im not all that big on the computer animation, im more into the traditional cell animation. that is my DREAM job!

Kaa was cool in the jungle book too, but still he was protrayed as being "evil."

Thats soooooo cool. If you do have the chance to get into Disney jump at it. My art teacher in High School wanted me to go to art collage, but i chose not to, and boy am i regretting it. I'm not the greatest at cartooning, more into real life, portraits, landscapes stuff like that. But i also like the surreal imagery. Bev Doolittle, is one of my favs. Theres so many actually. I used to draw, paint, sculpt daily, but stopped for some dumb reason.

I am such a perfectionist with my artwork it drives me batty sometimes. For example.....i did a series of ocean scenes in acyrylic and oil paint. My mom had them framed and that same day i took out my pallette to *touchup* the paintings. I also have a tendency to draw the same pic over and over until *I* think its perfect......this includes a pic of an iguana head. And ever since i got my geckos i've been wanting to do portraits of them, i just need to get some really good camera shots first. Somehow i don't think any will stay still long enough for me to draw them hehehe. I'll be sure to send anything i do your way. If i can access my old system i could get into my art folder and post some of the pics, sculptures i've done, i'm sure theres a few lizards in there.

I do like the old style of animation but the realizim from the computer stuff from Pixar is just amazing. I'm already thinking of what a computer animated gecko would look like, their cat like stalking, the way they caulk their heads, the tail wiggle hehehe. I've gotta start drawing

Thats cool, definately send me some of your stuff. I do real life stuff too. I'm not real big on drawing people (they just dont interest me that much artistically, no matter how many nude models i have to draw, lol) but i do mainly animals. I draw mostly and pen and ink, and i also paint. Oil and acrylic and watercolor (actually i just started with oil and am still playing with it a little.). And i like drawing characters because i dont have to worry so much about perfect true-to-life details as much, ya know? and i'm a big perfectionist too when it comes to my work, hehe. But hey, everyone is their own worst critic.

I just take pics of my animals when i draw them. its so much easier that way! hehe. Well, good luck! get out a sketch pad and go to it!
