Question about my Male Beardie

dblough Oct 26, 2003 09:15 PM

Over the last week or so I have noticed that around my male Beardie's snout/front ridge of his mouth it is kinda cracking, its not like he is shedding it just kinda look like its coming apart a little bit. What could be causing this and what can I do to fix it? I know the way I am explaining it may sound confusing but its the part of his snout right around the top of his mouth where his snout comes to a point. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes beardies rub their noses on the enclosure walls and sometimes they get injured. It's not very common that I have noticed though. Or it could've been caused by something else. Hard to say. I would keep an eye on it and make sure the cracked area stays clean and doesn't get infected. If it gets worse I'd take him in to the vet.
