Rookie question.

rsg Oct 26, 2003 09:26 PM

I have a few hermanns tortoises that I really like.
Someone asked me to watch their tortoise for them while they were on vacation. When they got back, they decided they didn't want it anymore. I agreed to keep it, but not sure what type of tortoise it is.
Russian?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Looks like an Egyptian tortoise to me.

True... it looks similar to an Egyptian. But I really think its Greek. He can confirm that it is/not an Egyptian by taking another picture of the plastrom/belly.

It looks like a Greek. Check to see if it has horns protruding from its skin on each side of its tail. How about a pic of its rear end.
