shed pattern

jgriffi Oct 26, 2003 09:47 PM

My female shed on or about 10/09/03 and again on 10/25/03, ,y question is could this last shed be the shed before she lays her eggs/ This is my first time mating my pair, they mated several times over the last two weeks. Is this a normal for the female to shed this soon, I've had bp for a long time but only one. I've never seen my other snake shed this close. I'm looking for information
Thanks

how fat is she? is she visually gravid and about ready to pop?

No, she looked that way several weeks ago, but not now. She looked like that just before they started to mate. She gas been laying with her belly up a few times but doesn't look real fat.

I have never heard of a pre lay shed only 2 weeks after copulation.

How big is this girl? My smaller females have shed twice in the same month (quite rare), but I have never seen this with my breeders.

She is about 1350 gr. and doesn't look like she's real to burst. I separated them on Monday of this week, maybe I'll put them back together and see what happens. If they start to mate again then I'll have an idea of what's going on.
