Tips on taking pics of albinos

kg Oct 26, 2003 11:38 PM

I tried taking some pictures of my albino, but they're all washed out!!

In this pic, she looks all...pale and sickly..which she's not.

I turned off the flash for this picture, but then it turned out all dark and dull. I circled her scar in this pic BTW. It's hard to make out..especially since it's dark, but the puncture wound was caused by an angry kitty who wanted a little snack. We had to handfeed Cassidy for 2 weeks.

So can anyone give me tips on albino photo taking? I took her out in the sun, but then she closed her eyes and stumbled around blindly and I didn't think those pictures turned out any better then the ones taken inside. Thanks for any help that you can give me.

But you are plastic and so are your brains.

The primate's scream of consonance is a reflection
of his own mind's dissonance.

Sadistic and constantly inflicting a slow demise.

Wow, I'm glad that your leo was able to make a full recovery after a kitty encounter. What's the full story on that?

I don't have any albinos as light as yours, so I'm not sure how much value my input has. I like to take pictures around dusk, because that's when my leos start waking up. It's just when the sun is starting to go down but there's still enough light. Here's a picture I took of Locke to show you what I'm talking about. I didn't need to use flash.

Hi

Try taking a picture of her on a colored piece of paper that would help bring out the highlights on her.
