Viv size for adult Dums

oldelpaso Oct 27, 2003 08:21 AM

What size viv's would you guys recommend for an adult dum? Adult length seems to be a bit varied with some sites saying 6ft is a good adult size, and maybe as much as 7ft. While others say up to 9ft is possible.

Anyway I was thinking that a 6ft snake would be ok in a 4x2, but if 9ft is likely to happen then that's gonna be too small...

So what do you current dum keepers use for your adults?

Thanks
Mike

Hello,
Dumerils can get up to 9ft I have seen a couple. My average animals are 6-8ft, I got a couple smaller ones in the 5-6 range but i think over all you should expect atleast 6-7. I always prefer bigger for caging I use pretty much all visions with a few home made meliman cages thrown in here or there. Visions are all #422 models or 432 I prefer the 432 because of the larger size 54x36x18h
