Hello,

Id like any information on how you care for your hatchling leos, also i plan on using those shoebox sized rubrmaid container, will that be ok?? whats the best way to heat them? I plan on keeping them either in pairs or singly. Any advice would be appriciated :-]. I must admit that i am pretty excited about this, and cant wait!! How do you stand waiting for the eggs and then waiting for them to hatch, lol. ;-]

The waiting is the hardest part. If you can do that you can care for them with no problem. I house my hatchlings by themselves. It's easier to make sure that they are eating and pooping. I also keep them in shoebox sized containers in a rack heated by heat tape. I keep the hot spot(the back) at 90 degrees and the front stays 75-80.

Hi LeoEyes,

This is one of my racks made to fit shoe boxes. Its heated by two strips of 11" heat tape running down the back. It keeps the back of the boxes at 90F with no problem, just remember to wire in a control for the heat tape. Had it all cut to size at home depot so all I had to do is screw it together and add heat tape. If you have a (big lots) near you the boxes are only 79 cents and are made by Aero.
