Most of those that are outside are undercover and seem to be doing ok.
The boxies are out in the open and don't seem to even care what is happening.

The fires were about 2 miles from me. The only problem it caused me was that I canceled my trip to Costa Rica (really sucks) but the stress of leaving home in these conditions was too great. Evacuation plans were made in the event of a 'worse case scenario' and it was scary yesterday morning.
The critters are looking no worse for the ware and don't seem to mind it at all.
This morning is looking much better but it is far from over. What the news is not reporting is that huge high pressure weather system has moved west and that is not good because the normal weather pattern is east which means there is a good chance it will be back.
Anyway, I'd like to thank everyone for the kind words and concern.

Sucks about Costa Rica. We're heading there Dec 2-11.
I'm excited about it. (We go to Hawaii alot and this is something I have wanted to try for a change for a long time)
